Vacated Targets

As of: 4/23/21

Opportunity is the most important factor in the success of any one player in fantasy football.  As NFL teams adjust their rosters each offseason openings are created where you can see an increase in the importance of some players, based on the production of other players leaving.  For example, when a receiver changes teams there is now the chance for an incoming free agent or other player on the depth chart to increase their role in the offense.  In this example, the opportunities created by departing players are referred to as vacated targets (things such as vacated rush yards can also be examined).
